Episode 49 – Rukia’s Nightmare

Rukia recall her past and talk about when she was a member of the 13th division. As part of the Kuchiki clan, she managed to get herself into 13 Court Guard Squads. She has a strong friendship with Kaien Shiba but was disliked by other members of her division at that time. There was a night where Rukia was almost killed by a hollow which merged with Kaien.

Fortunately, Kaien manage to control his body and spear himself on Rukia’s zanpakutō. After recalling the incident, Rukia feels that she is a coward who killed Kaien. And this is the reason why she needed to be executed.
